On July 20, a presentation of the commemorative postal block \u201c225 years since the birth of A.S. Pushkin\u201d took place at the Bendery Historical and Local History Museum.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The postal block depicts monuments to the poet located in Bendery and Tiraspol. The postal block coupon is decorated with a passage  from the poem of  A.S. Pushkin “Poltava” directly related to the city of Bendery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is already the fifth postal issue dedicated to A.S. Pushkin. Before this  \u201cPushkin\u201d stamps were issued in 1994 (postal block), 1999 (2 stamps), 2017 (one stamp from \u201c225 years of Tiraspol\u201d set), 2019 (one stamp from the \u201cFamous People\u201d set).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is known for certain that during the period of the poet\u2019s southern exile (1820-1824), Pushkin visited the territory of modern Transnistria four times. In January 2024, A.S. Pushkin visited the Bendery fortress in order to find the grave of Hetman Mazepa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The block is printed in both perforated and imperforated versions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The edition of the perforated  set  is 600 pcs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The edition of the imperforated  set  is 100 pcs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The serial number of  these block and stamps  according to the catalog of postage stamps of the PMR is  No. 1310, 1311, block No. 127<\/p>\n\n\n\n
