On the eve of the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory the State Unitary Enterprise “Stamp of\u00a0 Pridnestrovie” prepared an issue dedicated to the Heroes of the Soviet Union who were born or lived in the territory of Pridnestrovie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Preference was given to heroes who had not previously been depicted on Pridnestrovian postage stamps.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On March 29, the presentation of the fourth pair of stamps in this set took place in the Tiraspol Art Gallery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The stamps feature:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bolgarin S.I. \u2013 native of the village of Korotnoye, Slobodzeya district. Machine gunner. Hero of the Soviet Union. Honorary citizen of the city of Lida.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Shcherbinko P.A. \u2013 native of the city of Tiraspol. Lieutenant Colonel, commander of a partisan unit. Commander of an anti-tank fighter regiment. Hero of the Soviet Union.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The set is printed in both perforated and imperforated versions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The edition of the perforated  set  is 4200 pcs. (600 sheets each)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The edition of the imperforated  set  is 700 pcs.(100 sheets each)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Stamp number according to the PMR postage stamp catalog  is No. 1349-1350<\/p>\n\n\n\n
