Tiraspol Airfield is an airfield located approximately 1 km northwest of Tiraspol.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Type: Originally a military airfield.  It were made attempts to convert it into a civil airport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Runway: Length \u2014 2,500 m, width \u2014 44 m, surface \u2014 concrete.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The airfield was used intensively  during the Soviet era:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 45th Bomber Aviation Regiment was based here in 1940\u20131941. In the post-war years, the airfield hosted various fighter aviation regiments (including the 91st, 73rd Guards, and 684th Guards), operating aircrafts such as the Yak-3, Bell P-63, MiG-15, MiG-21, MiG-23, and others. Until 1989, the airfield served as a Soviet Air Force base.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On June 20, a presentation of the new “Aircraft of the Tiraspol Airfield” stamp series took place at the Tiraspol Main Post Office.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This marks the fourth issue dedicated to aircrafts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Previous series were released in 2021, 2022, and 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The set is printed in both perforated and imperforated versions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The edition of the perforated  set  is 4800 pieces. (600 sheets each)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The edition of the imperforated  set  is 800 pcs. (100 sheets each)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The serial number of  these sets  according to the catalog of postage stamps of the PMR is  <\/p>\n\n\n\n
