Today the Orthodox have a memorable date – the 300th anniversary of the transfer of the relics of the holy blessed prince Alexander Nevsky from Vladimir to St. Petersburg. With the personal participation of Peter I the shrine with relics was transferred to the monastery established by the emperor (now the Saint Trinity Alexander Nevsky Lavra). It is believed that thanks to this the city on the Neva found its heavenly patron and protector.
On September 12, a сommemorative cancellation of the envelope took place at the foot of the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral.
The envelope depicts a vignette with the image of Alexander Nevsky and also has a stamp from the 2019 set with a monument located in the Alexander Nevsky Park in the Bendery Fortress.
The envelope edition is 90 copies.
