From February 26 to April 15, a children’s drawing competition “My Family is My Country” was held in the Republic.
The competition included 630 drawings of participants from 4 to 13 years old as well as 45 videos of participants from 14 to 35 years old.
Due to the large number of participants the winners of children’s drawings were divided into three age categories.
The drawings of the nine winners were used for stamps design. A drawing separately selected by the State Unitary Enterprise “ Stamp of Pridnestrovie” was used for the sketch of the small sheet coupon. And the drawing “Audience Award” was used for the drawing of the first day сover.
The awarding of the competition winners, as well as the presentation and special cancellation of the new postal issue took place on July 8 at the Palace of the Republic. Each winner independently put a special cancellation stamp on a pre-prepared envelope with a stamp according to his drawing.
The postal edition has a circulation of 560 small sheets, of which 200 are placed in a souvenir cover.
The stamps are made on self-adhesive paper.
