On January 23, in the Official Representative office of the Republic of Abkhazia in Pridnestrovie, a cancellation of a new postal series “30 years of the Treaty of Friendship with the Republic of Abkhazia (Fruits of Abkhazia)” was held.
The event was attended by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the PMR Alexander Stetsyuk, Authorized Representative of the Republic of Abkhazia in Pridnestrovie Alexander Vataman, Head of Official Representative Office of the Republic of South Ossetia in the Pridnestrovie Vitaly Yankovsky, Chairman of the Council of People’s Deputies of the city of Bendery Yuri Kara, Chairman of the Public Chamber of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Vladimir Ladunkin, Director of the State Unitary Enterprise “Publishing Company “Stamp of Pridnestrovie” Vsevolod Lavrentiev.
Abkhazia is a fraternal republic for Pridnestrovie. This amazing and rich in picturesque natural beauties area is situated in the northwestern part of Transcaucasia. The stamps of the set depict original drawings of exotic fruits growing in Abkhazia: kiwi, persimmon, black fig, medlar, feijoa and mandarin satsumas. On FDC along with the stamps the places of interest and landmarks such as monuments of nature and culture are depicted there.
In 2019, the “Stamp of Pridnestrovie” has already issued 2 stamps “25 years of the Treaty with the Republic of Abkhazia”, which depict the flags and coats of arms of like-minded countries.
The set is printed in both perforated and imperforated versions.
