80 Years of Victory (V)

On April 12, the day of Tiraspol’s liberation from Nazi troops, the State Unitary Enterprise “Stamp of  Pridnestrovie” together with the State Institution “Pridnestrovian Newspaper” organized a presentation of the collective small sheet “80 Years of Victory”.

The collective small sheet included all 8 Heroes of the Soviet Union  previously published this year.

The event was organized in the assembly hall of the State Institution “Pridnestrovian Newspaper” with the participation of the Union of Veterans, Schoolchildren and Filatelists. Before the special cancellation ceremony, a short film telling about each Hero represented on the stamps was shown.

Director of the Center for the Study of the Cultural  Historical and Spiritual Heritage of Pridnestrovie  Nikolai Dymchenko spoke about the new book “Without a Statute of Limitations”.

The first impression on  the first day cover was made by the Chairperson of the Union of Veterans of Tiraspol Svetlana Bakhchevan.

Upon completion of the special cancellation  all the participants of the Union of Veterans who came there were presented with flowers along with new stamps  and schoolchildren were given sets of stamps.

The new stamps will be included in the exhibition dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory.

The edition of the perforated small  sheets  is 600 pcs.

The edition of the imperforated small sheets  is 100 pcs.
