



On August 15, a presentation of the new set of stamps “Archaeology of Pridnestrovie” was held at the Museum of Archaeology of Pridnestrovie of the T.G. Shevchenko PSU.
The stamps feature exhibits found in a tomb near the village of Glinoe and related to the Scythian culture of the 3rd-2nd centuries BC.
These are gold earrings of a Scythian aristocrat in the form of a lion biting its tail and a unique bronze Greek lamp with an image of a sea dweller as a handle. They were found in the tombs of a Scythian necropolis near the village of Glinoe in the Slobodzeya district. The artifacts are 2,300 years old. They can be called the visiting card of the archeology of Pridnestrovie.
You can see these works of ancient art in the exhibition hall of the Catherine Park.
The set is printed in both perforated and imperforated versions.
The edition of the perforated set is 6000 pcs (600 sheets each)
The edition of the imperforated set is1000 pcs ( 100 sheets each)
