On September 7, a presentation of a new set of postage stamps “Achievements in Space” took place at the Bendery Historical and Local History Museum.
This is the fourth annual issue continuing the sets of stamps dedicated to achievements in space.
The three stamps in this set depict:
“Phobos-2” is a Soviet automatic interplanetary station for the study of Mars and its satellite Phobos.
“Vega-1” and “Vega-2” are Soviet automatic interplanetary stations for the study of Venus and Comet Halley.
“BION-2” is a Soviet spacecraft for conducting biological research on the effects of cosmic radiation on rats, turtles and insects.
The set is printed in both perforated and imperforated versions.
The edition of the perforated set is 4200 pcs. (600 sheets each)
The edition of the imperforated set is 700 pcs.(100 sheets each)
