According to the Slavic calendar the new year begins not on January 1 but on March 20 — the day of the spring equinox.
The symbol of 2024 was the Dark Sokh so in the spring of 2025 the Stinging Hornet will take its place.
Despite its menacing name the Stinging Hornet does not promise troubles and painful injections from fate. The patron of 2025 is considered the embodiment of hard work, perseverance and energy. People born in his year have determination, endurance, a tenacious memory and a good sense of humor. At the same time, they are impatient, prone to fussiness and in a fit of emotion often commit rash acts.
On March 15, in the Bendery Historical and Local History Museum it was held a presentation of this new postage stamp.
This is already the third stamp dedicated to the Slavic calendar.
The set is printed in both perforated and imperforated versions.
