March 1 marks the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the Separate Reserve Border Cossack Regiment of the Ministry of State Security of the Pridnestrovie.
The regiment was created by the Decree of the President of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic on February 2, 1993, as part of the program for the transition of the Chernomorskiy Cossacks to “a peaceful track”. At the time of the formation of the unit, there were no analogues to it in any state in the entire post-Soviet space.
In 1992, when repelling the aggression of the Republic of Moldova in the battles on the Dniester, 95 Cossacks gave their lives for the sake of peace and the well-being of subsequent generations of Pridnestrovians.
The numbered small sheet was printed on self-adhesive paper at the «Bendery Printing House “Polygraphist”.
Edition of a small sheet is 600 pieces of which 300 sheets are enclosed in a souvenir cover.
