On March 5 1991 the creation of the Government was dictated by the times and the need to protect the people’s right to self-determination and ensure the functioning of key government institutions. At that time, at the period of an economic blockade, political isolation, and the threat of conflict the foundations of state governance and stability were laid. A ceremonial meeting to mark the 35th anniversary of the Government was held at the Palace of the Republic. The celebration brought together veterans of executive bodies and current ministers. The anniversary of the PMR Government has went down in history of philately. The set of nine stamps depicts moments from various years: meetings, public meetings, and industrial inspections. Head of State Vadim Krasnoselsky, Prime Minister Alexander Rosenberg, the first President of the PMR Igor Smirnov and Chairperson of the Supreme Council Tatyana Zalevskaya participated in the postage cancellation .
