It will be possible to purchase a new set on the same day from 12.00 to 14.00 at the office of the State Unitary Enterprise “Publishing Company “Stamp of Pridnestrovie”
A set of new stamps was issued with the blessing of Archbishop of Tiraspol and Dubossary Savva .
On the left side of the first day envelope there is a historical photo of the Pokrov Church. At the end of March 1931, the leadership of the MASSR decided to demolish the Church of the Protection of the Mother of God .
They began to destroy it in the spring of 1932. It took a long time to reset the bells. Then they decided to blow them up right on the bell tower. The bells fell but did not break.The Church of the Protection of the Mother of God was finally destroyed in 1934. A summer theater was constructed on its place.
