On February 10 at the Bendery Historical and Local History Museum presentation and special cancellation of new set of stamps “Year of the Green Dragon” were held.
The coming year will be ruled by the Green Wood Dragon, the fifth of the 12 animals of the Eastern calendar. The New Year according to the Eastern calendar will begin on February 10 2024 and will last until January 28 2025. The dragon is the most prosperous symbol of the entire eastern horoscope. It is the only mythical and most powerful animal in it. The dragon is able to control rain and wind, influence the harvest and bring peace and prosperity to the world.
The set is printed in both perforated and imperforated versions.
The edition of the perforated set is 4800 pcs. (600 sheets each)
The edition of the imperforated set is 800 pcs. (100 sheets each)
