





On August 10, the presentation of a new set of postage stamps “Underwater Fauna” took place at the Tiraspol United Museum at the Department of Nature. This set continues the cycle of sets of stamps dedicated to the wildlife of Pridnestrovie and is similar in design to the previously released stamps “National Birds” of 2019 and “National Nature” of 2021.
The stamps feature two animals:
Crayfish are a common inhabitant of the Dniester coast.
The red-eared turtle is a guest brought more than ten years ago which has perfectly adapted to our natural conditions, multiplied and is now displacing our endemic – the Red List pond turtle.
The set is printed in both perforated and imperforated versions.
The edition of the perforated set is 4800 pcs. (600 sheets each)
The edition of the imperforated set is 800 pcs.(100 sheets each)
Stamp number according to the PMR postage stamp catalog is No. 1319 -20.
