Chess

The history of chess goes back to at least one and a half thousand years ago. The first known game – grandparent of chess- chaturanga- appeared in India no later than the VI century BC. The famous Soviet grandmaster A.S. Lutikov worked and lived in Pridnestrovie for a long time. He would have turned 90 this year.

On December 28, the presentation “Chess” took place at the Bendery Historical and Local History Museum .

For the first time in Pridnestrovie  square stamps with perforation were issued.

The set is printed in both perforated and imperforated versions.

The edition of the perforated  set  is 4800 pieces. (600 sheets each)

The edition of the imperforated  set  is 800 pcs. (100 sheets each)

The serial number of  these set according to the catalog of postage stamps of the PMR is No. 1277.
